THE OVERVIEW OF COMPETITION

Date:

  • Preliminary rounds: 6 June, 2026
  • Semi-Finals and Finals: 7 June, 2026
  • Law Firm Visit: 8 June, 2026

Venue :

  • Peking University School of Transnational Law, Shenzhen Graduate School, China.

Competition Format:

Q: How many participants per team?
A: The competition will be team-based, with each team consisting of 2 to 4 members roleplay as representative counsel and the client.
 
Q: How will the competition be conducted?
A: It will feature two preliminary rounds, followed by semi-final and final rounds.
Teams will advance to the next round based on highest scoring (preliminary rounds) and knock-out system ( semi-final and final rounds), with the highest scores on the scoresheet determining progression.

  • Preliminary Round 1
    Mediation – 75 minutes
    Feedback + Q&A – 15 minutes
  • Preliminary Round 2
    Mediation – 75 minutes
    Feedback + Q&A – 15 minutes
  • Semi-Final
    Mediation – 90 minutes
    Feedback + Q&A – 15 minutes
  • Final Round
    Mediation – 105 minutes
    Feedback + Q&A – 15 minutes

ELIGIBILITY & REGISTRATION

 

Q: Who can participate?

A: – University Teams of 2-4 students

     – University students from all National Chapters of ALSA

     – Any member of various ALSA National Chapter

     – Participation is accepted on a first-come, first-served basis

 

Q: How to participate?

A: Complete official Pre-registration form. 

1. Pre-registration will be open to public, based on National Chapter’s reservation and comes first served basis. Participants are encouraged to register through respective ALSA national chapters 

2. ⁠Selected teams will be informed through email from the organising committee. Teams are required to fill in registration form and complete the payment within the deadline. Those who failed to do so may lost their participation slots.

A: USD 85 per team
